It Was Done Because There Was Absolutely God’s Will Behind It; Where There Is a Will, There Is a Way

Proverbs 30:7-9

“Two things I ask of you, LORD; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonour the name of my God.

Matthew 19:23

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

John 14:8-11

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

Being Comfortable

There are problems with being too comfortable in life. If a person is too comfortable, it becomes more difficult to pray because they don’t have any problems plaguing them. When a person is comfortable, they won’t reach out to anyone–not even to God or the savior.

If someone is too comfortable, they just get more and more consumed by it, and so it gets harder for them to live a proper life of faith and prayer. Many will leave the Lord because of being too complacent in their own thoughts.

Being too comfortable becomes a habit and that will lead to difficulty in serving Jesus and the Trinity, leading that person towards the domain of death. They are bound in that environment and state of illusion and feel that they have already achieved everything with the comfort that they have.

Having too many problems may cause some people to feel discouraged and miserable and then think, “Why doesn’t God help me?” God absolutely solves all problems in the end. When people are living comfortably, that is already “Heaven” to them, and they consider that comfort as their joy and love. Just as the Bible states in Matthew 19:23, it is hard for a rich man to go to Heaven.

For example, when you are full from eating, you won’t search for a restaurant. When you lack nothing, you will neither seek the Lord nor God. Through the worst tribulations and hardships in God’s history, people’s faith came to life and people prayed a lot. People pray and only seek the Lord when problems happen. When they’re comfortable, people don’t even greet God and the Holy Spirit, even though They’re next to them.

Biblical Figures Went Through Hardships

Joseph was sold to Egypt by his brothers, and through interpreting the king’s dream, he was appointed as prime minister.God sends his beloved only to the place where God’s Will is. This is true in any time period. Just as Joseph entrusted everything to God, we must also absolutely believe that God takes action in secret and does things to the end together with the Holy Trinity.

As Genesis 27-31 mentions, Jacob was happy to receive his mother’s love and father’s blessing. Jacob left and went through hardships to fulfill God’s Will and ultimately achieved success in love and finances. However, if he were comfortable with only the father’s blessings at home, it would have ended with that.

In 1 Samuel 18, David experienced countless brushes with death, but ultimately, he became king and succeeded. As a result of the enemy, he experienced war, and through his hardships David experienced God working powerfully with him. Where there is a will, there is a way. Through the hardships, David sought God even more. Only when you do that too will you succeed.

Don’t look only at the hardship but look only at God’s Will. Do things absolutely according to the Will, even if it means suffering. Nobody succeeded from those who only lived comfortably. Even Jesus was tormented his entire lifetime and overcame all injustices. He set the conditions of going through extreme suffering and sought only God. God will help you when you entrust matters to Him.
