To Whom Does Your Body Belong?

Genesis 6:1-18

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.  The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.

Genesis 7:12

And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Luke 21:34-36

“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Judgment vs Tribulation

There are tribulations that believers may face while believing in God. This is different from God’s judgment that takes place when people fail to do their responsibilities. When people do their responsibilities, God lets them escape even if judgment is brought. Unless you are undergoing individual judgment, God offers help.

Every day God blesses or judges individuals, families, and nations according to their deeds. When God judges, it is only upon the pertinent people and locations. God gives the law and judges only those who do not keep the law.

Noah’s family members were saved because they believed in Noah as the person appointed by God and obeyed his words. Lot’s wife in the land of Sodom did not obey even though she was the wife of the appointed person. She died because she did not heed God’s Word spoken through the angels.

The same is true with God’s judgment in this time period. God will bless both the bodies and spirits of the people who believe and follow according to the way God wants. Those who know whom God sent and absolutely believe and faithfully follow will escape judgment because they go on believing only his words.

If You Become a Body of the World, You Will Be Judged

The people at Noah’s time were judged because the believers who loved God became bodies of those who did not believe in God. They lived any way they wanted, judged as they pleased, went against God, and brought injustice upon the one God loved. So God became extremely angry and declared that He would wipe them out from the Earth. Those who do not live believing in God Almighty are not God’s counterparts of love. They are bodies of love for the world and will be judged for having no conscience.

Who Are God’s Bodies of Love?

Those who live believing in God and the Savior are God’s bodies of love. People become God’s bodies when they marry whom God permits them to marry according to God’s Will. In every time period, people become God’s bodies if they live united with God and the person sent by God. We must live as the bodies of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord Jesus no matter what suffering or tribulations come.
