Consider Absolute Faith as Life

Matthew 8:23-27

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

1 Timothy 1:18-19

Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.

In Matthew 8:23-27, before rebuking the wind and the waves, Jesus first rebuked his disciples for having such little faith. When the disciples saw how Jesus was able to completely calm the wind and waves, they were in awe of him. That’s because they still did not know that God Almighty had come through Jesus.

This time period is no different. God’s history has faced many storms and waves brought by the world’s winds and tribulations. We fear the tribulations when we fail to be one with the Holy Trinity and the one God sent. All of us must pray earnestly to God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus and plead with Them when we are facing near-death situations, both physically and spiritually. Only then will our problems be solved.

The Reasons for Faith to Shatter

When we don’t know the Word correctly or when we don’t perceive the Word as life and act on it, our faith becomes weak and easily crumbles. It also easily dies when our lives of faith are based solely on following the atmosphere or other people. Lastly, our faith is severely handicapped when we don’t correctly know about the Holy Trinity and the Savior.

Faith Is as Important as Life

Faith is like a person’s life. Once it dies, it’s nearly impossible to restore. Those who used to live as the Trinity’s counterpart but later destroy or reject their faith will also destroy the eternal love between them and the Trinity. Because they shattered their love, God does not give them the blessing of love any further. Destroying their faith in God and Jesus is the same as forsaking God, so God will repay them according to their deeds. Their bodies will regret for a lifetime, and their spirits will regret eternally.

Despite the Hardships, Guard Your Faith until the End

No matter what tribulation or suffering you face, if you pray and realize, you will overcome all tribulations. If you cut off the love of God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus and destroy your faith, your spirit will go to eternal death.

God and the Holy Spirit are absolutely with you even more during times of tribulations, hardships, and difficulties. They help you and accompany you until the end. So do not lose what you’ve gained until now through hard work and struggling. Endure for the sake of righteousness, repent of your sins, and forgive one another just as God has forgiven you. Do not lose the spiritual inheritance of the Golden Heaven but continue all the way until the end of 2023 and beyond.
