Luke 22:42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
Luke 12:47 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.”
When Jesus was suffering the most excruciating pain before being crucified, he asked for God’s Will to be done. This is how absolutely important it is for God’s Will to be fulfilled. We must follow Jesus’ example and also say, “May it be done according to God’s Will and not my own will.”
The One God Sent Is the Standard of God’s Will
Even if people try to live according to God’s Will, they don’t know what God’s Will is. That is why God teaches His Will through the one He sent. Therefore, only those who absolutely believe in and follow the savior sent by God will know God’s Will for that time period and live receiving the salvation pertaining to that time period.
The savior God sent to preach God’s Will to the world is the standard of God’s Will. The people who hear and believe his words, live loving him in unity, believe in and serve God according to the way he testified and taught, and live taking action according to God’s guidance and assistance at each moment are the people who live according to the Will of God. People who live this way will receive the appropriate salvation and go to the Golden Heaven.
Do Not Live Losing God’s Will
The reason the omniscient and omnipotent God created Heaven and Earth, all creation, and human beings was to fulfill God’s eternal Will of love. It is so precious and important that we fulfill God’s Will.
A person who lives only according to his own will cannot receive salvation and will lose it even if he did gain it. The lives of those who live apart from the Will of God will end meaninglessly, and their spirits will go to and live forever in a world of suffering. On the contrary, anyone who lives until the end according to God’s Will for this time period are the happiest people in the world, and they are eternally happy and successful.
The Righteous Will Go Through Suffering
As we go through life, there are times when we may wonder why we are facing so much hardship, injustice, or suffering. We may wonder if we’re being punished for something we’ve done wrong, and we are pained in our hearts when we can’t figure it out.
However, there was not a single person in the Bible who did not experience pain and hardships while living according to God’s Will. Prophets, central figures, and even the Messiah all went through suffering. While undergoing hardship, we can come to love God more as we carry out His Will.
Through the ignorant, Satan does all kinds of evil and works harder to bring injustice and suffering to those who are fulfilling God’s Will for the time period. But God blesses the righteous again while their bodies are alive, just as He had blessed Job. And once their bodies have died, He lets them enter the Golden Heaven and live trillions of times better than in the world.
Endure Until the End
Therefore, as you are going through suffering and injustice, you should not quit or get disheartened, but go until the end. You must not forget the grace God has granted you until now and live according to the Word and according to His Will.
When it comes to God’s Will that is secret, we will only find out about it after the appropriate time has passed. Therefore, you should pray and absolutely guard your faith during times of tribulations.
