Repentance Is Salvation; Pray for the Lives

Matthew 4:17

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

How to Be Saved

To be saved and go to Heaven, each person must repent of their sins. Jesus came especially to save people from sin. By repenting we become free from sin. We must reflect upon ourselves and be perfect before God. We must listen to the Word, repent thoroughly, and also reflect upon the sinful things we said and did in the past and repent of those things. When a sinner repents, God forgives them. Jesus has always emphasized repentance and has forgiven anyone who repents. We must forgive our brothers also.

10 Commandments God Gave to Moses

The ten commandments God gave to Moses still apply today and helps us reflect upon the many things we can repent about. They are as follows:

One: There shall be no other gods before God. For example, serving anything or anyone as higher than God is considered a sin.

Two: You shall not make idols.

Three: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. We must never rebuke the name of God or arrogantly go before Him. Never misuse the name of God.

Four: Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. If you do, then God’s grace will flow abundantly.

Five: Honor your father and your mother. This refers to both your physical and spiritual parents.

Six: Do not murder. In the New Testament, Jesus says that even hating your brother is murder. Hating your brothers and sisters is something that needs to be repented for in this time period.

Seven: You shall not commit adultery. We must not think of God and Jesus in a physical love kind of way. They are spirits so we must love Them in a spiritual way. People who think of loving God physically must repent absolutely. All love towards the heavens is agape love, spiritual love. The love that is kind and merciful and forgiving and sacrificing. It is to love your brothers spiritually and pray for them, pray for the one God uses, and live by the Word of truth.

Eight: Do not steal.

Nine: Do not bear false witness against your neighbor. We must repent of our words or actions of judging our brothers as we see fit. God sees it all.

Ten: You shall not covet.

With all of these commandments, we must reflect upon ourselves and repent of things that must be repented of right now.

Benefits of Repentance

When you repent, you will be rewarded in both body and spirit, and you can go to Heaven. The wall of sin will disappear, and you can communicate well with God. Death will no longer reign over you. Why wouldn’t God forgive you? It is also a benefit to God for you to repent; it is  mutually beneficial. The Holy Spirit can work upon those who have repented and are clean. Everybody must repent and make themselves as vessels that can shine Jesus’ Word to the world.
