The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

John 4:24

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth

Romans 1:17

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Revelation 19:7

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Who Is a Righteous Person?

A righteous person is someone who absolutely believes in the Holy Trinity. That is, they believe absolutely in God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son. A righteous person is someone who absolutely believes in the Savior, Jesus, whom God sent. And a righteous person is someone who believes in God’s promise.

Abraham absolutely believed in God and absolutely believed in the promise God had given him. Thus, he became righteous by taking action with that faith. In this time period also, since God sent Jesus to us, if you absolutely believe in, love, and serve Jesus as the Savior, believe in and act upon His Word, and if you believe in and love God through Jesus and make yourself clean by repenting, then you are a righteous person.

The Standard of Faith and Action

The Word is the standard of faith, and that faith becomes the standard of action. The one who sets the condition of faith and action on the basis of the Word will take action until the end with God.

You cannot take action together with those you don’t trust. Because of unbelief, it won’t work out. Therefore, in order to take action together with God, you need to have absolute faith in Him and Jesus. So you must establish a standard of faith with the Word. And with that faith, live establishing a standard of action.

Do Not Let Your Faith Waver

There are times when your faith can waver. It wavers when you can’t discern whether something is God’s Will or not. That’s why you need to learn and know God’s Will properly.

At Jesus’ First Coming, those who believed and acted upon His Word received the authority to become sons. People of the Old Testament Law could not take action on Jesus’ Word because they did not believe. As a result, they could not receive the authority to become sons.

In the same way, just as God has predestined, those who believe and act upon the teachings of Jesus at the Second Coming will receive the authority of counterparts of love.

All Love with the Heavens Is Spiritual

God and Jesus are spirits. Therefore, we need to worship Them and connect with Them in spirit. In fact, all love that is done with the heavens is spiritual love and agape love. The kind of love for which authority was given in this time period is absolutely spiritual love. You must clearly know this, and build your faith upon this Word and live by it.

Spiritual love is about divine love. Lust, love of the opposite sex, materials, and pleasure are love of the physical body.

Some examples of spiritual love:

  • respecting and liking God and Jesus
  • giving glory to God and Jesus with joy and thanksgiving
  • rejoicing at God’s Word, accepting it, liking it, and putting it into practice
  • testifying for the Trinity

Conclusion

By believing in the omniscient and omnipotent God and Lord Jesus Christ, we become righteous in God’s eyes. In essence, a righteous person lives by the Word, lives by their faith that they’ve established with the Word, and they live by their actions embodying that faith. They live by earnest prayers of going before God in the name of Jesus, and they live by perfect spiritual love.
