Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
A Spirit Is Considered Alive When It’s Living in Heaven
People who worship idols often polish their hearts and character, believing that by bowing down and worshiping their gods, they will be blessed. However, even though they live diligently in this way, if they do not believe in or learn about the Almighty God, they will end up in Hell. Only the spirits of those who believe in and worship God can live in Heaven and are considered truly alive.
Problems Won’t Occur If You Believe in and Follow the Lord While Polishing Your Heart
Many people today think that simply believing in the Lord Jesus is enough to receive salvation and live as they please. However, without polishing their hearts, conflicts can arise, both with others and within themselves, as they follow the Lord. Therefore, it is essential to continuously polish and refine your heart as you walk this path.
God Looks at and Chooses Based on the Heart
In every time period, God always looks at the hearts of those He will use to save humankind. In society and politics, God also looks for hearts that align with His Will for the time period. Whether in the Old Testament, New Testament, or today, God chooses the central figures based on their hearts.
Possess the Heart of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord
The secret to polishing your heart is to listen to the Word of God and act upon it. Even if you have failed at something, you must make up your mind to try again, rising to succeed. Success and failure depend on your heart, so it is important to possess the heart of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord.
Cultivate and Make Your Heart a Fertile Field
Like the parable of sowing seeds in the Bible, you must not allow your heart to be like a rocky field or a land of thorns. When you hear the Gospel, it should not sprout briefly only to wither due to tribulations, misunderstandings, or feelings of being unloved. If your heart is cultivated and fertile, the Gospel’s roots will bear fruits of love, gentleness, and self-control.
Entrust Your Heart to the Lord
Do not let your heart be troubled. Instead, entrust everything to the Lord. Will worrying solve anything? Constant worry can lead to neurosis. Since you believe in God, the Holy Spirit is with you. Therefore, entrust everything to the Lord while fulfilling your daily responsibilities, continually calling upon Them. Always think of the Lord and give thanks in your daily life.
