Matthew 5:48: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Isaiah 11:2-5: The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
Genesis 18:20-21: Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.”
Psalms 18:25: To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless
You Must Check First in Order to Be Perfect
In order to be perfect, then even after having heard something with your own ears and seeing it with your own eyes, you still need to check to confirm that it’s really true. If you act without checking, you will receive all the harm and pay the price for the sin of ignorance. After hearing the outcry from the land of Sodom, God still went there to check for Himself if it was true. And only after confirming that it was true, He rendered judgment. Even the Almighty God checks first before He judges. But people who are nothing compared to the Almighty God will receive according to their deeds if they don’t check before carrying out judgment on others.
God Receives What Is Perfect and 100%
You should be perfect in brotherly love. But there are many people who are imperfect in brotherly love. People who hate others are people who commit murder in their hearts. Satan and demons control such people and use them as their body.
People hate others because that’s become their habit, mindset, and constitution. In the New Testament time, Jesus said to the disciples in Luke 6:32, “‘If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.’” We must be absolutely perfect as God is perfect. God wants us to be harmonious and to do well while being united as one. Things will go well as much as we do well.
Words, speech, and deeds that are partially true are imperfect, as is spreading untrue rumors and lies without even checking. Therefore, God does not accept this. Instead, He repays those people according to their deeds. God is the Almighty Being who only receives what is perfect and 100%. He does not receive unclean offerings. He does not receive things that are dirty in body or heart.
With our faith also, we need to continuously take action and climb to higher levels of faith to develop ourselves completely as perfect people. Heaven is granted to those who are perfect.
You Don’t Just Turn Out Well; You Reap What You Sow
In Malachi 3:10, God said, “Tithe perfectly to Me, Jehovah, and test Me to see if I won’t bless you until your storehouse overflows.” You reap what you sow. You must take action abundantly to reap abundantly. Tithe perfectly as you love God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus. Then God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus will give you blessings. Do not be stingy to God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus.
You must sow a lot to reap a lot. In Matthew 5:48, Jesus said, “Be perfect therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” God does not receive a partial heart, thoughts, and will. Those whose hearts are like a fertile field are people who have developed themselves after polishing and chiseling with tremendous suffering. They are like gems. God receives them.
You need to listen to the Word of the time period upon the foundation of having your heart, thoughts, and deeds made. Then the Word will be sown in your heart. You need to make yourself so that you won’t change. Without doing so, then even though you listen to the Word, you won’t be able to bear fruit. In order to make your heart, thoughts, mindset, and deeds into a fertile field, you must first pick out the rocks and uproot the thorn bushes. You need to develop yourself while the heart of God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus come upon you.
The Power of Righteousness
We need to do well for things to turn out well and for God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus to be with us. Those who acted righteously will live by their righteousness; those who acted unrighteously will be repaid for their unrighteousness. Thus, you need to build the righteousness of loving your brothers, righteousness of evangelism, and righteousness of love.
Righteousness is like money. That is why Jesus said that the question isn’t what you eat; the question is how righteously you live. What matters is righteousness (Matt 6:31-33). More than any authority or fame in the world, “righteousness” is the best. Based on righteousness, judgment for individuals and nations are determined. When there is righteousness, you will not be judged.
God takes care of the righteous even during tribulations. Sinners die because of their sins; righteous people live because of their righteousness. Even though you sinned, if you repent, you will not die in sin; you will live again. Repentance is not doing the unlawful things that you did before.
Ezekiel 18:26-27 says, “If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die. But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.”
As it says in the Bible, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16), so you need to live righteously and pray.
