Psalms 23:4-6
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Jonah 2:6
To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit.
Matthew 16:26
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
John 8:29
The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.”
The value of life and the value of saving your spirit
One of the greatest graces a person can receive is the grace of being saved. Keeping your life—your spirit’s life and your body’s life—from dying is something so tremendous.
In Matthew 16:26, Jesus’ words conveyed the following message: “Life is something you cannot trade for the entire world! Value the fact that I saved you. If you don’t value your salvation, your life will just end. It will end even if nobody takes it from you. The life I give you is physical life, too, but more importantly I give you eternal life for your spirit. How great that is!” Everything is contained in those words.
You have to realize that your spirit’s life and your body’s life are things you cannot trade for the entire world. You have to realize this deeply; then you will not die in an accident. You have to always think about life first. Whether you’re caught up with money, finances, or circumstances, always think about life first. Isn’t the New Testament a history in which Jesus held firm to life and saved lives? He didn’t do it with money. He didn’t do it with the environment. He did it with only his life. People who are sick and dying will offer millions and billions of dollars for someone to save them. That’s how precious and valuable life is.
Never forget God’s love and grace that saves and protects you
From the time you were born, God has protected both your body and your spirit. You have received the grace of God’s love and protection. If you had not received His grace, you could not have lived to this day. So, realize His love for you. The grace of realizing something perfectly is tremendous. But if you forget that grace, you will be left with dull thoughts. There’s no value to that kind of life. You have to truly live your life with love, joy, and gladness, being thankful that your body and spirit were saved. There’s nobody on the face of the earth to whom this Word does not pertain. God does not selectively help some people and not help others. He helps everybody.
What is happiness? Does happiness come only when you receive something? Happiness is realizing how great it is to be alive and living joyfully as a result. If you forget the grace that has been given to you, you are an ungrateful person.
Prayer for your nation is prayer for yourself
Your nation is like a magnified version of your life. Your nation is like your family. If your family comes to ruin, you also come to ruin. It is like your spirit coming to ruin if your body comes to ruin. In this way, if you help your nation, you also help yourself. The nation is a bigger scale of your life. You have to always pray for your bigger life. The nation and you are one. You must become united with your nation, just as the Trinity are united.
You, whose body and spirit are alive because God and the Holy Spirit saved you, should live your life always loving Them. In return, the almighty Trinity will also love you more, love your nation more, and protect you more. You must not forget the value of Their love.
Consider Prophet Jeremiah: God saved him on the battlefield, so he was extremely joyful and happy, and he always gave thanks to God. Jeremiah was someone who prayed so anxiously for his nation because he knew that if his nation came to ruin, he would die, and religion would also come to ruin due to war. He prayed earnestly with all of his heart to save his country. He even composed the book of Lamentations in the Bible. If anything happened to his nation, he would worry. So he always prayed for Israel in tears and gave thanks to God.
Just as Prophet Jeremiah prayed desperately, we must do the same. If you pray like Jeremiah did, God will alter the situation and make better things happen.
God has a purpose for you
In John 8:29, Jesus said, “Because I always do the things that God is happy with, God has not left me alone, but has always watched over me and is with me.” Jesus the Messiah confessed this.
Why has God protected you all this time? He saves you so that you can live together with Him while loving Him. Then His Will can be fulfilled. God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son have saved our spirits, our faith, and our bodies. That’s why we have not become cripples of faith, but our bodies and spirits have remained healthy. So, every day, you have to live your life adorning yourself as God’s counterpart of love by developing yourself and making it your joy to love God. Just as Jesus confessed, you have to always live your life doing the things that make God happy.
Therefore, be truly grateful to the Trinity, and rejoice over the fact that you have been saved. Realize how valuable it is and, in exchange for that, love the Trinity and live your life without changing.
