The Birth of Love—the Saviour
2 Timothy 2:21-26
Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Romans 8:28-30
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
God created the heavens, the earth, and all creation including human beings who were to live on the earth He had created. Because of God’s love for human beings, He helped them to realize about Him and love Him, and He delivered the gospel to them so that they could hear His Word, believe in Him, and follow His Will.
God raises people to carry out His Will in every time period
Throughout every time period in the Bible, God developed the central figures before using them. He helped them to first believe in God, put His Word into practice, and become people of the Truth and people of God. Only afterwards did God use them suitably.
When scrutinized in detail, you can see that Moses had developed himself over a long period of time, as did many people in the Bible. After he was fully developed, God used Moses valuably as the spiritual leader of Israel. God also called Abraham and had him move to the land of Canaan from Ur of Chaldeans. Abraham believed in God absolutely, took action on His Word, and made himself righteous. Consequently, he was used by God as the ancestor of faith. In the New Testament, God chose Jesus, helped him to grow righteously, and taught him appropriately so that he could be used as the Messiah to save all mankind.
In this way, God and the Holy Spirit choose, call, and justify the person with the Will from among the believers of the time period (Romans 8:28-30). This is because they cannot do God’s work unless they know God’s Word and are made fitting to His heart. God delivers His Word to them, and He inspires them through the Holy Spirit so that they can become righteous and perfect. God helps those who know Him to become first-born sons of faith, and He makes them excel in faith, following the example of the one whom He sent: Jesus Christ. Furthermore, through the Messiah, God saves them and makes them even more righteous.
Become someone who can be valuably used by God
With everything in the world, something cannot exist unless it is made. Whatever it may be, the more you develop it, the better it becomes and the more convenient it is to use. Therefore, you must make things well, make your environment ideal, and make yourself righteous.
If you use something prior to having made it 100%, you cannot use it properly and it will be uncomfortable. The same is true with people. People who are not “made” 100% perfectly cannot be used properly by God. People must develop themselves in such a way that they become suitable to be used by God. Even among people, those who have developed themselves cannot work together with those who have not developed themselves because it would be too frustrating. You must realize how valuable and important it is to develop yourself.
Don’t just strive to be successful, but develop yourself. Even though it is difficult, you must do it. Anyone who tries to make themselves can be made. The more you develop yourself, the more valuable you become and the more valuably God will use you. Make yourself spiritual by praying, listening to the Word, and preaching the gospel. You should make yourself complete as you polish your character and cut off unnecessary things. Make your thoughts and actions to be without blemish. Then God and the Holy Spirit will fulfill Heaven’s Will through you.
Develop yourself according to God’s design
Heaven is a valuable place. The domain of God’s Will is also a valuable place. Therefore, if you want to live in that domain, you need to become a valuable person. The more valuable a place is, the more valuable you must make yourself in order to go there.
Just as the price of a house is determined by what materials are used and how big and beautifully it is built, the value of a person is determined by how they are developed. Hence, you should develop yourself according to God’s design and the Will of the Holy Spirit. If you develop yourself only in the way that you want, you will live trapped in your own domain. But if you make yourself according to the Will of God, you’ll gain an even greater salvation.
If you make a house, you can use it for about 100 years. But if you make your body and thus make your spirit, you can use your spirit forever. You should think about the Trinity and make yourself together with the Holy Spirit. If you’re fond of and love the Holy Spirit and the Lord, then you’ll understand the deep heart and thoughts of Heaven and act to be made according to that divine mentality. In this way, you can be made easily into the counterpart of love that the Trinity desires.
