Sharpen your senses and manage them with your heart.
Proverbs 4:23-27 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
When there are sweltering heat waves, and it is unbearably hot, people say, “The bitter cold is better.” Then when the weather becomes cold, they say, “I can’t bear it. It’s too cold. Heat waves are better.” Thus, people wonder, “why do people’s hearts fluctuate so much? Why is the heart so fickle?”
It’s not that people’s hearts are fickle.
It is because the nerves are sensitive, so when the nerves feel something, they transmit it to the brain, and depending on that feeling, thoughts are formed, and you decide whether to like something or not.
But if you live with dull senses due to desensitized nerves, you won’t be able to feel things in a sensitive way, or sense whether they are good or bad, and you won’t even be able to respond to happy things either. Therefore, you will just take action recklessly in whatever way you like.
Nerves contribute to feelings and thoughts, and nerves connect to the soul and the spirit. The feelings and thoughts of the body are all generated from the neurons of the brain. If you stimulate the nerves, the response is precisely transmitted and is revealed in the heart.
When God and the Holy Spirit want to convey a particular Will to human beings, They do so through the brain cells and other neurons.
When the neurons sense the Will of God, people can feel it in their hearts.
There are times when your heart changes quickly even after you made a promise to God, made up your mind solidly to do well, and made a firm resolution.
So you say to yourself, “Why is my heart so fickle? Why is it so weak? How can I do well with this kind of heart? I am not confident. Should I just give up instead?”
This is not because your heart is crafty, but rather, it’s because your nerves are alive and responsive. As a result, your heart and brain immediately respond to the changing nerve impulses and generate the corresponding feelings and thoughts.
Therefore, don’t just suppress the sensations from your sensitive neurons, and don’t just overstrain them by withstanding and enduring what you are feeling, but treat them with the appropriate environment.
If the weather is hot, you need to make the nerve receptors of your body feel cool, and if the weather is cold, you need to make your body’s nerve receptors feel warm. This is the most effective treatment method.
Therefore, don’t just restrain yourself or endure, but make sure to change the environment, and give yourself treatment through the right environment.
Nerves become as sharp as a blade as much as you use them, and the heart becomes proficient at knowing and taking action as much as you control it.
Your nerves always alert you and make you sense things. That response is felt in your heart and thoughts.
Therefore, God delivers spiritual inspirations, intuitions, premonitions, and issues of life or death through the nerves.
He does so because your nerves have to sense it first in order for your heart to know and for you to take action.
God created two perfect things for human beings. Physically, it is the nervous system and spiritually, it is the spiritual body. If you cannot use these two things properly, you will experience suffering and loss. If you use these two things properly, both your body and spirit will win, gain things, and succeed!
It is a blessing to have sharp senses that detect well.
However, you need to control them well with your heart.
Discern well in what you see, hear, and feel. I hope you will take action within God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord while controlling your heart.
