Your Eyes Will Open to It Only if You Think About It

Proverbs 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Ephesians 1:18

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

Open the Eyes of Your Thoughts by Actively Thinking

The reason people do not realize that what God promised has already come true is that they do not think about it at all. Only when you think do the eyes of your perception and thoughts open. Only then can you properly discover and gain the value of something you already possess. If you do not think about it, you will not know it even if someone tells you. In this way, the eyes of your thoughts cannot open if you do not think at all.

When you tell someone something that opens the eyes of their thoughts, they will begin to think. Therefore, tell people things that open the eyes of their thoughts, and show them things so that they can see with their own eyes. When you do this, the eyes of their thoughts will finally open. Even in the physical world, you can find what you want only if you think it exists, believe it, and open the eyes of your thoughts. God created people to live by their thoughts.

Although the spiritual world exists, only when you open the eyes of your thoughts will you gradually sense it, enter it, and experience it. If you do not open the eyes of your thoughts, even if you see or hear about the spiritual world, you will not recognize it as such. Instead, you may think it was merely a supernatural experience created by your own thoughts.

People Live by Their Thoughts

If you do not think about something, you are dead in that area. Forgetting leads to death. A person who forgets is like a dead person. Only when you think can you discern and recognize what you see. Without thinking, even when you see something, you will not recognize it. You see correctly only when you look while thinking.

For example, you can recognize a dishonest or deceitful person only if you look at them while thinking. You will identify a swindler only if you think, “Could this person be a swindler?” If you look at someone without thinking, you see them only through your own assumptions. Even if you see them, you will not know whether they are good or bad. Therefore, help people open the eyes of their thoughts. Thoughts and the heart are life.

The Samaritan woman at the well was already thinking about the Messiah in her daily life. Because she believed that the Messiah would resolve all things, she asked Jesus about the problems of life when she met Him. When she asked, He answered and resolved her concerns. Even after this, she did not immediately realize that the one standing before her was the Messiah because her thoughts were still limited. Jesus spoke to her in a way that widened the eyes of her thoughts, helping her recognize that He had done exactly what she believed the Messiah would do.

Through deeper and broader thinking, the woman finally realized who Jesus was. She changed immediately and went to her village to testify. In this way, a person who truly understands will pursue and follow the Lord at once. When Jesus later came to the village and spoke the Word of life to the people whom the woman had prepared through her testimony, they came to know that Jesus was truly the Messiah and the Lord. Reference scriptures are John 4:3–42.

Think and Believe

The eyes of your heart open only when you think and believe. Only then do the eyes of your thoughts open, allowing you to see correctly. If you do not think from the beginning that things can turn out well, you will not understand anything. If you do not believe, even when you see signs or receive revelations, you will remain trapped in worry, concern, and anxiety. A foolish person believes only after something is accomplished. A wise person knows beforehand and acts with joy and hope.

Even when you think, you must think correctly for the eyes of your heart to open and for you to gain. Even if something exists, if you think, “It is not here,” you will never gain it. God and the Holy Spirit help you think clearly and bring understanding to your mind.
