Matthew 17:24-27
After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”
“Yes, he does,” he replied.
When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?”
“From others,” Peter answered.
“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”
Matthew 18:12-14
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
The Secret to Being Successful
When we focus, we’re able to realize in a deeper way. We need to train our brain to focus, especially on God’s Word. People live by their thoughts, so to be successful in life, we must change our thoughts into more spiritual thoughts, i.e., the thoughts of God. God’s and Jesus’ thoughts are different from human thoughts. Therefore, we can only fulfill God’s Will for creating us if we have the same thoughts as Theirsm.
If we think incorrectly, our lives will change as much as we think incorrectly. One wrong thought could lead a person off the path of life. God will repay each person according to their deeds.
The Holy Spirit is inspiring you to take action. Jesus is giving you the Word of life. Do not act only thinking of one thing but check and then act. Always ask God and Jesus before taking action. We must not think incorrectly during times of tribulations or when our faith is weaker.
How to Have Righteous Thoughts
In order to have righteous thoughts, you must pray deeply and become united with God. Pray and ask to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit. We also need to repent daily. It isn’t about being faithful only with lip service, but rather, it is to consider life valuable every day in your thoughts, and hence, your actions will follow.
Sometimes we go through hard times and struggles, but we must keep going until our spirits are harvested into Heaven. God loves us so much that He sends the Savior, protects our lives, and does all the work that needs to be done to save us. We are not doing things by ourselves, so we must live boldly without worrying and comfort, support, and give encouragement to one another.
Do Not Waver in Your Thoughts
People live by their thoughts, so with one wrong thought, a person could go to eternal death. If a person thinks incorrectly, they become ignorant. You must not think incorrectly about the Bible according to your own perceptions and live with false hope. If you think incorrectly, all of your hard work will end in vain. You can live eternally prosperous if you take action according to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit’s thoughts. Wrong thoughts can lead to health problems, accidents, and even death. Check your thoughts and think correctly according to the Trinity’s thoughts.
Many people in the Bible also thought incorrectly, which brought about their own demise. Some examples include Adam and Eve, Cain, David’s son Absalom, King Ahab, King Josephat, Vashti, and Judas Iscariot, etc. We must always try to think correctly and match our thoughts to the Trinity’s thoughts!
