Explain to Them and Take Care of Them
Proverbs 27:23
Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds;
2 Peter 3:10-14
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.
Speak well and choose your words wisely
Even if you have something important to say, if you say it in a way that people can’t understand, it becomes redundant. A wise person uses his words sparingly and speaks with careful calculation. Words have to be spoken in a clear, well-constructed, fun, convincing, and inspiring way. Pray and ask God to help you speak well.
Words also have to be spoken at the right time. At school, you clearly state whether something is correct or incorrect. But in your family, people rarely say things that are completely wrong—it might be correct from their point of view. So you shouldn’t boldly say, “You’re wrong, and I’m right.” Such harsh words can put strain on relationships. You should instead try to understand them.
Resolve things for each other
In order to take care of someone, like your husband or wife, you first have to resolve things with them. If you have an argument, resolve it right away. If there was a misunderstanding, admit that you were wrong and resolve the issue before you go your separate ways. In order to live well together, you have to mutually resolve things and manage each other. Don’t just wish to have things resolved for you. You have to take care of each other. If a good tree is not managed well, then it will produce terrible fruit.
Understand their circumstances and treat them in a way that doesn’t upset their heart. If you manage excessively, they’ll think you’re treating them like a child. So do it respectfully. Otherwise, you might make things worse. Be good to each other and build a strong relationship. Then you will become more united.
God takes care of us through the Word
God created the heavens and the earth. He also created all the lives on the earth, and He takes care of them. And not just for people who believe in God, but He does this for everybody. There’s not one person who is outside His domain. He inspires us to do things and takes care of us according to what we do. According to your deeds, He protects you, manages you, and resolves your issues. Everything gets resolved through the Word of God.
Self-management
You also need to take care of yourself. Manage yourself by resolving problems and issues in your daily life. If you do this really well, then you will succeed in life. Other people are valuable too, but you need to first work on yourself. Resolve the things that you have doubts about.
When you exercise, you need to loosen up and manage your muscles first. Otherwise, you can’t run in the next game. In the same way, when problems occur in faith, you need to immediately resolve them and continually look after yourself and others.
