Adornment

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

The original meaning of “adornment” pertains to a bride equipping herself for marriage. Fundamentally, adorning is beautifying. Adornment is something we must do in terms of our faith and love for God. A person can be made beautiful through adornment.

Things turn out according to how we make them

Many goals can be achieved through adornment. When we adorn ourselves, we become beautiful and attractive. People transform in reality after constantly developing and beautifying themselves. Adornment completely alters one’s destiny and achieves an 80% change in a person. A person who adorns and beautifies has a great mentality.

We must adorn the temple of God

The earth is like God’s body. God’s temple is also like God’s body. Therefore, we need to adorn God’s temple and keep it clean.

We, too, are the visible temple of God. In order to fit God’s heart, we need to adorn ourselves like a bride adorning herself for her groom. We need to decorate and make ourselves beautiful both spiritually and physically (through exercise and a healthy diet).

Pray deep spiritual prayers

The one thing that has an unimaginable effect on your adornment is praying deep spiritual prayers. Pray for one to two hours a day. Pray in tears. Pray prayers that move God to tears by acknowledging what He’s done. Tell Him how much hardship He’s gone through for the last 6,000 years. Converse with God and also receive God’s inspirations. That becomes your spiritual food.

Don’t remain dull and slothful. Raise your spiritual level and sensitivity. Call on God and the Holy Spirit. Don’t be superficial. Pray deeply. Look at things deeply. Always be united with God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord. Learn.
